Horizon Air Honors Boise With School Colors
Horizon Air will celebrate 25 years of service in Boise by decorating an aircraft in the Boise State University colors of blue and orange.
The Q400 will join the carrier's fleet of four other university-themed aircraft. The University of Oregon, Oregon State, the University of Washington and Washington State already have their colors on Horizon planes.
An official launch date for the new aircraft has yet to be announced - the Boise plane will be one of 11 new environmentally-friendly Bombadier Q400s expected to join the Horizon fleet at some point next year.
Vice-President of Marketing and Communications at Horizon Dan Russo commented: "Our four university-themed aircraft have generated an overwhelmingly positive response, and they hold a special place in our fleet.
"Like the others, the Boise State-themed aircraft will be painted at no cost to the university and flown full time across our route system."
