Netflix, United Team Up to Offer Miles

Need a good movie for your long flight, or just want to catch up on last season's "House" or "24"? Good news fliers: You don't need to rely on in-flight entertainment. Grab your laptop or portable DVD player and bring your own movie for your flight.

Members of United Airlines' frequent flier program, Mileage Plus, can earn bonus miles when they register with the online movie/TV rental company, Netflix.

Customers who rent films from Netflix can earn up to 3,000 miles under the promotion. Flyers must be paying members with Netflix to receive the miles.

Rent your movie or TV show and then earn 1,500 bonus miles toward your next United flight. Pay with your Mileage Plus Visa credit card and get an additional 1,500 miles for a total of 3,000.

The offer is valid only for new Netflix customers. Existing customers are not eligible.
