Discount Airfare: American Seat Sale
Only a few weeks into the New Year and American Airlines is already discounting flights, offering cheap airfares starting as low as $49 – exclusive of taxes and fees.
You’ve got to act fast to land these discount airfares: purchase your economy class seat no later than Jan. 16. The travel window varies, depending on destination:
For domestic travel, start your trip between Jan. 26 and March 1; return by March 4.
For Caribbean and Mexico flights, travel between Jan. 12 and March 10; return by March 12.
For flights to Europe, travel from Jan. 19 through April 1; complete the trip no later than April 29.
Asia flights start Jan. 19 through March 31; the travel completion date is April 30.
South American flights must depart by June 12; return by June 30.
Here’s the most important proviso: although American Airline is quoting these discount airfares each-way, you’ll need to make a roundtrip purchase to get them. Here’s a sampling of the each-way savings American is offering:
