Fly off-peak to Europe and save significantly on Air France

Want to beat the crowds and save significantly at the same time? Try visiting Europe in the wintertime. Sure, you’ll have to take a coat along for that stroll along the Left Bank, but you won’t bump into boatloads of tourists in the process. To ease the pain on your wallet, Air France is offering some decidedly decent discount airfares to Europe just now, with each-way rates beginning (no misprint here) at $187 – exclusive of taxes and fees.

Book and buy fast, no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time January 8. Then, fly through March 25. You’ll have to buy your ticket seven days in advance of departure and stay over at least one Sunday night. If you want to fly on weekends, be prepared to pay an additional $20 to $30 each-way.

Here’s the most important thing to consider when booking your trip: all the discount airfares we list here, even though quoted each-way, require a roundtrip purchase.

That said, here’s a sampling of the discount airfares Air France has to offer this off-peak transatlantic travel season:

- New York Kennedy (JFK) – Nice (NCE) $260
- Philadelphia (PHL) – Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG)$263
- Los Angeles (LAX) – Paris Charles De Gaulle $265
- Seattle/Tacoma (SEA) – Nice $268
- Boston (BOS) – Paris Charles De Gaulle $278
- New York Kennedy (JFK) – Barcelona (BCN) $187
- Washington, DC Dulles (IAD) – Frankfurt (FRA) $197
- Boston – Budapest (BUD) $207
- Chicago O’Hare (ORD) – Warsaw (WAW) $251
- Philadelphia – Prague (PRG) $269
