Go online, park cheap at Baltimore/Washington

With a heavy dose of flights from discount airlines Southwest and AirTran, Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) www.bwiairport.com is already known for cheap flights. Now, add cheap parking to the allure.

Staring January 1 you can park in either the BWI Express Lot or the BWI Daily Garage for no more than $9 per day. To do this you’re going to first need a coupon. And to get that you’re going to have to go online to the airport’s Web site: www.bwiairport.com.

Park in the Express Lot and get car-side to curb-side shuttle service – replete with luggage assistance. The Daily Garage is a nine-story, 8,400-space aqffair that offers covered parking. The garage’s Smart Park system uses a series of red and green lights to point the way to open spaces. BWI lays claim to being the first airport in the country to employ the time-saving set-up.

The Express Lot and Daily Garage are across from one another, near the intersection of Aviation Boulevard and Terminal Road at BWI.
