Virgin Atlantic Slashing Business Class Fares
Business Class fares between London and the U.S. have dropped as Virgin Atlantic enters a price war with its competitor British Airways.
Fares on Business Class London flights to various U.S. cities have dropped by almost 40 percent. The sale fare lasts until Jan. 27 and travel can take place any time through September 2009.
Steve Ridgway, chief executive of Virgin Atlantic, said: "As a leading global airline, we have a responsibility to help pump-prime the economy. "These lower Upper Class fares will enable small and medium-sized businesses in particular to do deals and meet contacts around the world and help get the global economy moving again."
Six million passengers around the world flew on Virgin Atlantic services in 2007.
