AeroMexico to Launch Atlanta Flights to Cancun

AeroMexico is branching out on its own to provide Cancun flights from Atlanta. AeroMexico’s move doesn’t mean Delta is abandoning ATL – CUN. It will continue to ply the route from its Atlanta megahub. Both AeroMexico and Delta are members of the SkyTeam alliance.

Right now, Delta Air Lines uses Delta planes for AeroMexico flights on the Atlanta (ATL) – Cancun (CUN) route. Beginning March 12, AeroMexico plans to fly some of its own aircraft from Atlanta to Cancun, offering travelers another option for vacationing in the popular Mexican beach resort and adding lift to the in-demand destination.

AeroMexico will use new, long-range 737-700 twinjets on the three-times-a-week run. Flights depart Atlanta Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Onboard those 737s, passengers get free beverages - as well as cocktails and meals when it’s time to eat.
