Bom Dia Brazil: US Airways Announces Flights to Brazil

Marking its fifth international route this year, US Airways announced this week that it will launch daily non-stop flights to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil starting in December.

The flights are pending final approval from the Brazilian government.

The new Rio flights are US Airways' first entry into South America. The flight will originate at the airline's hub in Philadelphia and stop off in Charlotte, North Carolina, before arriving in Brazil.

According to the US Airways Web site, US Air flight 800 will leave Charlotte for Rio on Dec. 2.
