Virgin America: First to Offer Wi-Fi on Every Flight

Blackberries, iPhones, and laptops, rejoice: You no longer get shoved under the seat or in the seat-back pocket for the duration of the flight.

Virgin America announced this morning that all of its US flights are now equipped with wireless provider GoGo® for in-flight internet service.

Here’s what the connection will cost you:
Daytime flights over three hours: $12.95
Daytime flights less than three hours: $9.95
Red-eye flights: $5.95
Handheld devices: $7.95

In honor of the new development, the California-based company will appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show via Skype on Thursday, May 21st on her episode entitled “Where the Skype Are You?” (Although Skype’s video option will be used on the show, VA doesn’t normally allow passengers to use the feature, in order to respect a low noise level on its flights.)

Book a flight with Virgin America  and enjoy free Wi-Fi from any of the following cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego, Boston and Orange County.
