El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels: 45 Percent Off Gourmet Inclusive Getaways

Luxury hotels and gourmet meals usually mean an empty wallet, but we’ve found an exception to the rule:

El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels in Riviera Maya, Mexico, is currently offering up to 45 percent off stays through Dec. 22 as part of their “Gourmet Inclusive Getaways.”

There are six resorts to choose from, but the savings vary based on location. Three resorts feature the full 45 percent off: Azul Sensatori Hotel, El Dorado Casitas Royale and El Dorado Maroma. The other resorts offer 30 to 35 percent off stays.

Why it’s a good deal: All-inclusive resorts can save you money because meals and beverages are included, but food can be mediocre. With this deal, guests can enjoy gourmet meals, which have received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and top-shelf alcoholic beverages for one price. A full-service concierge, 24-hour room service, taxes, tips, activities are also included. But, here’s our favorite part: Butler-set picincs are also part of the price.

To go gourmet, guests must stay a minimum of three nights. A deposit is also due at time of booking.

We searched a few dates through fall and found rates from $135/night. for stays after Nov.1, 2009. Book by Oct. 31.
