Midwest Airlines Seat Upgrade on Select Routes Starting at $20
On Tuesday, we told you about United’s Economy Plus sale, which allows travelers to receive a seat upgrade for $5 or more. We’re happy to report that Midwest Airlines is also promoting a deal which allows for upgrades to Signature Seats on select flights starting at $20 each way.
How to book a Signature Seat: It’s possible to upgrade from the time of booking through check in, but seating is limited. If choosing to upgrade during the booking process, choose the “Signature Seat” and the additional price will be added.
The perks of a Signature Seat: There are no middle seats, so you’re guaranteed more space and legroom. Unlike the United Economy Plus sale, there is no book-by date for the Midwest offer.
Upgrade prices are for one way flights:
Milwaukee to/from Kansas City: $20
Milwaukee to/from Boston, New York City, Orlando and Washington, D.C. from $35
Milwaukee to/from Las Vegas, Tampa and Phoenix from $50
Kansas City to/from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle from $50

AS of 10-23-09 Midwest has incorportated Embraer 190 jets that offer "Signature Seats" that claim more headroom and legroom for a fee but in reality are the same narrow seats as the rest. Additional legroom is barely noticeable (if at all!!) and IS NOT worth the fees charged. Note a few planes still have the "old style" Midwest seats but these are disappearing fast. Buyer beware!!!
