American Airlines Joins the $25 Fare War

777sunclouds
There’s a fare war going on here, and travelers don’t seem to mind one bit. First, Southwest showed off its $25 flights, then AirTran did the same thing. Now, American Airlines is teaming up with Expedia for a three-day fare sale in a similar fashion. This is one war we support.

Until tomorrow night, Thursday, Oct. 29, you can find cheap flights all over the country starting at just $25 when you book with American Airlines through Expedia. Travel from Dec. 2-16, or Jan. 5-Feb. 10, 2010. Oh, did you think you were going to get your holiday flights for that cheap? Think again.

Fares are based on one-way and must be booked by Oct. 29. Fares are not valid on Sundays. Taxes and fees aren’t included.

Here are a few sample flights that start at $25:

Los Angeles flights to Las Vegas
Austin flights to Chicago
Chicago flights to Indianapolis
Dallas flights to Oklahoma City
Los Angeles flights to San Jose
Minneapolis flights to Chicago
San Francisco flights to Los Angeles

Other flights cost more, but all are under $200.
