Discount Airfare: Air Canada Calgary Sale from $156 OW

Alberta-Calgary Earlier this summer, Air Canada launched new non-stop service to Calgary from Portland, Ore. and San Diego. The introductory fares were $143 each way and $193 each way, respectively.

Now that fall is here and winter is approaching, a visit to the Canadian Rockies is perfect for the adventure traveler. Skiing, hiking and fishing are popular activities in and around Calgary.

The latest Calgary flight sale from Air Canada includes flights from $156 each way when you depart from Portland and $175 for departures from San Diego.

Fares must be booked by Oct. 16 for travel through Oct. 31. When we searched for a flight between Portland and Calgary, we found a round-trip flight with taxes for $364.

In this instance, it was actually cheapest to depart on Friday, Oct. 16 or Saturday, Oct. 17. When searching for fares from San Diego, we found a cheaper-than-advertised flight both ways -- $114 -- totaling $293 for a roundtrip flight with taxes.
