Discount Airfare: US Airways Caribbean Flights from $178 RT

You may not feel the undying itch to escape frigid temperatures and snowy days just yet, but October is still a good time to book a flight to the Caribbean. The pre-winter crowds haven’t arrived yet and you can extend summer just a bit longer.

US Airways is the latest airline to put flights to the Caribbean on sale. Destinations include the Bahamas, Bermuda and Barbados. The flights are all good through Oct. 31, but check the fine print for your departure city and destination since some only have flights on certain days. Also, many of these flights require a seven or 14-day advance purchase.

So, give your swimsuit and flip flops one last glimpse of summer before 2009 is over.
