Ring in the holidays with a seat upgrade.

Air Canada has put its Executive Class seats on sale, offering up to 50 percent off, for holiday travel. The sale fares are good for travel during peak Christmas and New Year’s dates: Dec. 21 through Jan. 5.

Even with a discount on fares, Executive Class seats are obviously more money, but you’ll get more space, a few hundred hours of on-demand entertainment and priority check-in and boarding. That’s a pretty good holiday gift, if you ask us.

Sample fares are one way and don’t include taxes and fees:
New York to Montreal from $442
Chicago to Toronto from $442
Newark to Vancouver from $539
Dallas to Toronto from $539
Los Angeles to Calgary from $706

We also noticed United is offering reduced fares in their First Class section for flights to Canada. Those fares start at $446 (taxes and fees excluded) with destinations like Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver. These fares are good for travel between Dec. 17 and Jan. 5.

If you're looking for a cheap flight to Vancouver in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics, check out our information on the Games.
