Anchorage Airport Reveals New Concourses and Security Systems
After a decade of renovation, the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska is completely. The $200 million work done on concourses A and B was revealed on Sunday, after a two-year focus on re-designing the food and dining options.
Concourses B and C are also now connected for travelers who want to shop and eat between them, without having to go through extra screening. Other renovations include moving the security check point further away from the main lobby in order to create less crowding, and creating a new security system that will now have six lanes.
Representatives of the airport say that the transformation is a better way to greet visitors booking flights to Anchorage, for a more stream-lined first impression.
