This Weekend Away: Cheap Travel to Las Vegas
Got plans this weekend? Even if you do, chances are they aren’t as good as the plans we’ve cooked up for you. No offense, we’re sure your dinner party would have been thrilling – but this is Sin City. So cancel your lovely little gathering, pack the most scandalous pieces of your wardrobe, and get on a flight to Las Vegas. We’re betting it’s far more memorable and quite plainly more fun.
We’re not, however, guaranteeing that you won’t get in trouble while you’re there. Hey, we just make the plans.
Weekend: Friday, Nov. 13 – Sunday, Nov. 15
Destination: Las Vegas
Hotel: Stratosphere
There are a few different reasons to go to Vegas. Some come for the casinos, others for the shopping, and more for the spas. But one underlying theme pulses through all of them – fun. With its 113 floors, indoor and outdoor observation decks, 80,000-foot casino, and Top of the World Restaurant, it’s impossible not to have fun at the Stratosphere.
Try your hand at one of the casino’s 50 table games, or 1,500 slot machines, or revel in the eighth floor pool complex with a free-form pool, rock waterfall, tropical ocean scene wall, volleyball court, and rental cabanas.

If you book through hotels.com, you get a two-for-one all day ride pass at the hotel’s amusement park. Ride the Big Shot, which shoots passengers straight into the air until they are 1081 feet above the ground, or X-Scream and Insanity which both spin and propel you over the edge of the Tower. After a long day of screaming, turning and general mayhem, treat yourself to a $50 spa credit at Roni Josef International Salon& Spa for a massage, body wrap, or pedicure.
Staying both a Friday and Saturday night will only cost $124 per person, based on double occupancy.
