Frontier Airlines is offering discounted flights to cities across the U.S. starting at $34 OW. To get these fares, travelers must book by June 30. Travel is valid between Aug. 10 and Jan. 15, 2010.
We searched Albuquerque to Denver between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2 and found a flight for $87.70 round-trip, taxes included. When searching sale fares on Frontier, use the fare calendar to determine which days have the cheapest flights.

Frontier Airlines, the Denver-based regional carrier is in negotiations with Republic Airways to work through bankruptcy. The regional airline filed for bankruptcy in April, 2008, and competes with Southwest Airlines and JetBlue airways.
According to Reuters, Republic has offered to buy Frontier for $108.75 million so it can exit bankruptcy protection. Potentially, Frontier will resurface in the fall as a part of Republic, but will operate under its current name, and hopes to continue service as normally as possible.

Faced with strong competition in Denver from discount airline Southwest and long-time incumbent United Airlines, Frontier Airlines continues to carry on despite its current status in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
In a prepared statement, Frontier President and CEO Sean Menke sees the commitment of $40 million in debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing from Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. as “a tremendous vote of confidence in the Company’s plan” to emerge from Chapter 11.
The DIP financing is subject to bankruptcy court approval, as well as what the carrier calls “other pre-closing conditions.”
