El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels: 45 Percent Off Gourmet Inclusive Getaways

Luxury hotels and gourmet meals usually mean an empty wallet, but we’ve found an exception to the rule:

El Dorado Spa Resorts & Hotels in Riviera Maya, Mexico, is currently offering up to 45 percent off stays through Dec. 22 as part of their “Gourmet Inclusive Getaways.”

There are six resorts to choose from, but the savings vary based on location. Three resorts feature the full 45 percent off: Azul Sensatori Hotel, El Dorado Casitas Royale and El Dorado Maroma. The other resorts offer 30 to 35 percent off stays.

Why it’s a good deal: All-inclusive resorts can save you money because meals and beverages are included, but food can be mediocre. With this deal, guests can enjoy gourmet meals, which have received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and top-shelf alcoholic beverages for one price. A full-service concierge, 24-hour room service, taxes, tips, activities are also included. But, here’s our favorite part: Butler-set picincs are also part of the price.

Four Seasons $1000 Resort Credit at Hualalai, Hawaii Resort

Hawaii, in and of itself, is pure paradise, but factor in a stay at the Four Seasons and your vacation just became heavenly. Factor in $1,000 credit to your trip and the whole thing just got sinful.

Today, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu is set to unveil its $40 million renovation that took more than a year to complete. The makeover includes new suites and an expanded spa. The Big Island resort is also home to a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. To celebrate, the resort is offering $1,000 hotel credit to travelers staying at least four consecutive nights.

The deal is sexy, at best. But when you do the math, this deal becomes downright sinful. Here's how it works: You stay at least four nights at the Punta Mita Nayarit Resort, and the Four Seasons will credit you $1,234 upon checkout.

Let's do the math:

Rooms start at $415 a night for a garden view. Book that room for four nights and pay $1660 plus applicable taxes, and then get $1,234 back at checkout. We went through the booking process and the garden view room, plus tax, came out to $2,124 for four nights. Deduct the $1,234 and you just paid $890 for a four-night stay at the Four Seasons in one of Mexico's most premier resort destinations.
