Bring along a plastic zip bag and BEFORE entering the tight confines of the security line stop for a minute and remove all your metal items – bracelets, watch, belt, pocket change, etc and place in bag at the top of your carry on. Only thing left to slow you down in line is to take off your jacket and shoes. Once at the gate you can take out bag and put your items back on.
