Get out of Louisville during the Derby

Frontier Airlines ... escape from Louisville
It’s the Run for the Roses, the 137th annual Kentucky Derby. All eyes will be on Louisville’s Churchill Downs May 7. While lots of folks will be flocking to Louisville – crowding hotels, restaurants and such – savvy locals look to leave town for a few days. Frontier Airlines provides a cheap flight escape hatch.
Book and buy no later than April 22. Fly from Louisville May 5 through 7, and back into Louisville May 8 through 9.
Sample fares are each way, do not include taxes or fees, and you’ll have to make a ten-day advance purchase. Louisville flights to Albuquerque (usually $384.19 roundtrip) are $99 each way. Louisville flights to Denver (usually $328.38 roundtrip) are $69.50 each way. Louisville flights to Los Angeles (usually $342.33 roundtrip) are $99 each way. Louisville flights to Salt Lake City (usually $569.30) are $99 each way, and Louisville flights to Seattle/Tacoma (usually $536.75) are $99 each way.
