KLM’s new Miami to Amsterdam flight

Just in time for tulips... new flights to Amsterdam
Right now, according to OAG, there is no scheduled non-stop service from Miami to Amsterdam. That’s set to change March 21 when KLM inaugurates service on the route.
KLM is scheduling a quartet of weekly Miami flights to Amsterdam: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Dutch carrier’s blue and white MD-11 tri-jets depart MIA at 9:30 p.m., and arrive in AMS at 12:20 p.m. the next day – in plenty of time to catch any onward connections you might have.
Return Amsterdam to Miami flights depart Schiphol Airport at 3:10 p.m., arriving at Miami International at 7:10 p.m. the same day.
To help pass the time on the long transatlantic trek, all seats on KLM’s big MD-11 widebodies come fitted with a personal video screen and interactive, on-demand entertainment. That means you choose what you want to see or hear, when you want to.
If Amsterdam’s not your final destination, and you’re making onward connections, you’re in one of the best airports on the planet in terms of decent dwell time.
While Amsterdam proper is justifiably proud of its museums, you don’t have to go into town to get an insight into Dutch treasures. The Rijksmuseum has a free annex at the airport. A book perhaps? Schiphol boats what it touts as the world’s first permanent airport library. It offers an array of titles by Dutch authors that are translated into English.
Too tame? The airport also sports a small, well-patronized casino.
