From big hair to big architecture... Texas flights to Europe

It’s off-peak travel time in Europe, and that means some of the lowest fares of the year. Among other U.S. gateways, Lufthansa is putting flights from Houston on sale to a number of in-demand European destinations.

If you’ve wanted to revel in the art treasures of Florence, steep yourself in the history of Budapest, shop for high fashion in Milan, promenade in Paris, or wander the streets of Warsaw now’s the time to strike. The crowds are largely absent this time of year.

Sample fares are quoted one-way, but are based on a roundtrip purchase. Tickets must be purchased no later than Mar. 3. Fly out through Apr. 12, and return through Apr. 30. Taxes and fees are not included.

Houston flights to Budapest (usually $2,828 roundtrip) are $381 one way.
