If you haven’t caught on by now, our “Next Weekend Away” segment allows you to take off for the weekend to an exciting and fun destination that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. We publish these ideas every Friday afternoon, and suggest trips for the next weekend, so you have a little time to prepare.

So far, we’ve brought you glorious weekend in the Bahamas, Mexico, Las Vegas, New York City, and San Francisco, and this week, we’re talking about Hawaii.

Yes, you can spend a weekend in Hawaii without feeling guilty.

Now, on to this week.

Location: Hawaii

Hawaii is arguably one of the most unique states in all of the 50. With growing, busy cities, relaxing and exciting beaches full of water activities and sun bathers Hawaii is the perfect paradise for travelers looking for best of both worlds. Take time to participate in a luau, and dine on some of the most exquisite cuisine imaginable. Explore volcanoes, craters, mountains, and underwater treasures, all in a weekend’s time.

Hotels
The Ocean Resort Hotel in Waikiki is saturated in beautiful rooms, decadent amenities, and jaw-dropping rooms. It’s the perfect place to come back to at the end of a long day of sunning, surfing, or visiting some of the natural wonders of this gorgeous island. All rooms are air-conditioned with private lanai, so you can take in either views of the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean or Honolulu’s renowned landmark, Diamond Head.

Flights
It’s all part of the deal. While flights from the west coast are obviously cheaper, you can still find reasonably cheap flights from the east coast as well. Pleasantholidays.com has put together a unique pricing plan, so that you must travel with a companion to get the rates (oh like you really have a problem with that?).  Flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles are the cheapest fares. The first guest gets charged $399, and the “companion” gets charged $161. When you combine the price equally, each person pays $279.
