Sale ends at midnight (Central Time) on Thursday, July 5: Southwest Airlines is having an Independence Day sale with one-way fares (excluding taxes and fees) from $53.

The sale applies to travel between August 16 and October 31, the fares quoted below do not include taxes and airport charges.

A sample of the fares included in Southwest’s July 4 sale is as follows:

- Albany, NY, to/from Baltimore/Washington Int’l, MD, $53 one-way
- Albuquerque, NM, to/from Ft. Myers, FL, $146 one-way

- Amarillo, TX, to/from San Jose, CA, $162 one-way
- Austin, TX, to/from New York (LaGuardia), NY, $128 one-way
- Baltimore/Washington Int’l, MD, to/from Dallas (Dallas/Ft. Worth), TX-DFW, $119 one-way
- Buffalo/Niagara Falls, NY, to/from Orlando, FL, $153 one-way
- Chicago (Midway), IL, to/from Phoenix, AZ, $135 one-way

Seats are limited, especially during very busy travel times and holiday periods.
