Stormy weather... travel watch for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving travel is gearing up this week already, even though it’s only Tuesday.

The forecast seems to be a grim one – since traffic will be at serious high, talk of possible TSA protests are filling the air, and now the weather seems to be conflicting with some of the country’s Thanksgiving plans.

While 94 percent of Americans will drive less than 50 miles to their Thanksgiving destinations, other travelers will take to the skies to visit friends and relatives for the holiday.

Winter storms and advisories around the regions of California, Utah, Nevada and north of the Canadian border may experience conditions that could threaten travel.

A blizzard warning has been issued for much of Utah and Colorado into Wednesday. The storm will move eat toward the Rockies and make its way toward the Midwest, Great Lakes and Minnesota.

Cities like Chicago and New York are likely to miss the storm, which means good news for the Macy’s Day Parade.
