Small town American loves to travel. But the folks who live there would just as soon not have to drive a couple of hours to get to the airport, or change planes en route to their vacation destination. It’s upon that premise that one of the most wildly-successful airlines in this country was built. It’s Allegiant, and you know by now that it focuses its flying machines on fun and sun runs. Here are two more:

Feb. 17, 2012 is the start date for Allegiant’s new Moline/Quad Cities flights to Orlando. To whet your Midwestern appetite for some sun and salsa the carrier is offering one-way intro fares of $99.99.

This is a twice-weekly route. Southbound Moline/Quad Cities flights depart Fridays and Mondays at 8:20 a.m. and arrive Orlando’s Sanford International Airport at 11:50 a.m. return Orlando flights to Moline/Quad Cities leave at 6 a.m. and get to MLI at 7:35 a.m.

That $99.99 deal we mentioned? You’ll have to buy your tickets no later than Oct. 19, 2011 and travel by May 10, 2012. Taxes and fees are not included.

For folks in the greater Phoenix area who want to get away to Vegas, Allegiant’s got an alternative for you. Starting Nov. 17 the airline will be fielding four weekly Phoenix-Mesa flights to Las Vegas. These short hops will depart Phoenix-Mesa gateway Airport Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departure times vary, depending on the day of the week you choose.

There’s an introductory deal to go along with this launch too: $29.99 one-way. To get it, buy your ticket no later than Oct. 16, 2011 and fly from Nov. 17, 2011 through Feb. 14, 2012. Taxes and fees are not included, and there are some holiday blackouts attached to this deal.

How low do fares have to go to coach you off the couch and into the seat of an airplane? Tell us.
