Even if you’re not an Olympic skier, you can enjoy Whistler, British Columbia this winter for less than you might expect.

As the 2010 Winter Olympics draws closer, Whistler Mountain, which was named the Host Mountain Resort for the Olympics, is offering package deals with lift tickets for the pre-Olympic months.

When you book a package by Nov. 15, you will save up to 39 percent on a hotel and lift tickets. 4-night packages start at $391/person, taxes excluded. The price also includes a 3-day lift ticket. Stays between Nov. 26 and Dec. 21 offer the lowest price, while the most expensive rate is $677/night between Dec. 22 and Jan. 1.

Rates drop from January to April. Plus, if there are some young snow bunnies in the family, here’s the best part of the deal: Kids get free lift tickets, rental gear and airport transfer from Vancouver.

7-night packages are also available starting at $630/per person and for die-hard Olympic ski fans, book the “Stay & Ski Package” for seven nights during the Olympics in February 2010. Prices start from $2,589/person, exclusive of taxes.

Now, just book a flight to Vancouver and get there before the Olympic torch does.
